I 've found all of the visible waypoints on the map here they are in order

1. The Shrine of the Tiger
2. The Thundering Falls
3. The Stairs of Heaven
4. The Gates of the Gong Lord
5. The Temple

Also on the map was a line of text reading Rivers Meet at the first waypoint giving me a hint to follow some rivers.
